The foremost criteria: The point-based system, known as the Comprehensive Ranking System. The IRCC selects the highest-ranking candidates from the pool of Express entry and they are issued with an invitation to apply (ITA) to apply for permanent residence:
There are specific set of instructions for each invitation round which are categorized as:-
The total number of people/candidates who will get an invitation
The date and time of the invitation round
The program for which the candidates are invited. It may be selected for either Federal Skilled program (for which “No Specific Program” wording is mentioned). Others are Provincial Nomination Program (which entails all PNP programs for which candidates must have applied after being eligible), Federal Skilled Trade Program and Canadian Experience class (CEC).
Then comes the most important of all, which is the Tie-breaking rule:
Many candidates get confused about it. Tie-breaking rule simply means a specific date and time when a candidate must have got his profile active in the pool and making a specific CRS score for being shortlisted.
To understand it in a simpler way, let us take n example:
Suppose there are 2 candidates in the pool and both are making 450 points on CRS scale. One candidate was active on 1st December 2021 and the other candidate was active on 20th November 2021. Imagine there is a round of invitation that says a Tie-breaking rule applied for November 25, 2021, for ITA issued total 1 at CRS 450. Then the candidate who has submitted his/her profile before the other one and making same score, then only his profile will be considered for the ITA and the other person who made his profile on 1st dec 2021 will have to sit for another round invitation in order to be shortlisted to apply for permanent residence.
Hence time is of utmost essence in immigration now-a-days.
Many people have lost their only chance to be in Canada just because of the misunderstanding; thinking when the process will open, only then they will start initiating their process, which is a very wrong thought process. No one ever thought this low score to be pulled up and all those people who just tried their luck inspire of being the lowest scorer in the pool got lucky.
Hence do not think that if you don’t have much experience, don’t have a master’s then your profile won’t be picked ever. It is very uncertain to say when it will, but as per a real life scenario I just quoted above you may consider that it can happen overnight as well and on the other hand you may have to wait as well.
