Many apply want to apply through the fastest way to achieve Canada PR is by applying through Express Entry. But “How does this program works?”

This program analyze a candidate’s profile that meet the minimum requirements for:

  •      Skilled work experience(s)
  •        language ability (English, French)
  •         Education equivalency
  •         Age

One must meet all the minimum requirements to be eligible.

Selection factors

If a candidate meets all the minimum requirements, the Express entry algorithm will then assess an application based on:

  •         Age of the candidate.
  •          Education levels achieved.
  •          The work experience.
  •          Whether the candidate have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer.
  •          English and/or French language skills of the candidate.
  •          Adaptability factor (how well one is likely to settle in Canada).

The above factors are part of a 100-point grid which is used to assess the eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker Program under the express entry system. The candidate earns the points for how well he/she scores in each of the 6 factors mentioned for point calculation.

The minimum criteria or as generally referred to as ‘passing mark’ is 67 points.

Selection factor point grid

Let us see how selection factor points are used to assess a candidate.

Once the candidate is in the Express Entry pool, his/her profile ranks according to a altogether different ranking system. The highest-ranking candidates from the pool are selected and are invited to apply for permanent residence.
